Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Fort Amherst. I went as part of a group of 4 and this is our second ghost hunt with Essex Ghost Hunters and can recommend them! They are a great group of guys and make you feel really safe. We had various things happen throughout the night, including tapping noises when we asked questions, balls moving, EMF readers lighting up and dousing rods moving when asked questions. We are looking forward to our next one at the Gunpowder Mills!

What a fantastic night, lots of things happened. Being a sceptic I am always looking for a logical answer first. There were occurrences that I could not explain no matter how much I tried. Cold spots that followed us, noises, feelings, moving spirit boards and the list goes on!!! The team were brilliant, I didn't feel threatened by anything and that's why I was so brave! Spent the night with the team at The (not so) Secret Nuclear Bunker Kelvedon Hatch. Went as a skeptic but events and experiences have shaken my skepticism a little. There were a few times i sat there thinking "your just making this up" but i could sit here and name 4 things that even had me at a loss to explain....a coldness that followed me along an air tight corridor...a spirit board that lifted with very minimal contact.....the feeling of having my shirt tugged when no-one was behind me......and who could forget the legend that is now Mr Tom Merrick (may he now rest in peace). The best testimony i can bestow....My daughter and i have just booked another night with the team in Fort Amherst! Cheers guys, see you in July
Me and my partner attended the event last night (26/4/14) at the secret nuclear bunker. We have done previous ghost hunting ourselves but last night was another level and by far unbelievable and amazing. The best part for me was the seance, feeling the weightlessness and outta body experience was incredible. This was my first Ghost Hunt with Essex Ghost Hunters (although not my first ever GH.) I attended the event on March 22nd with my Sister Dawn and her hubby, Tony. We thought it was great that we could actually use the equipment and during the night's event, were rewarded with the spirit presence of our parents whilst using the dowsing rods, EMF readers and an audio voice recorder device! The whole evening was fab - but obviously that was (for us) the high-light of the evening. We really liked the EGH team - very friendly guys - and hope to see you at another event in the coming months. :)
