This website, www.essexghosthunters.co.uk, (collectively referred to as the “Site” in these Terms and Conditions) is owned and operated by Essex Ghost Hunters (“we”, “us”, “owner”,  ”our”,  “the owner” or “Essex Ghost Hunters”). By using and accessing our Site, you (“you”, “user”, “end user”, “attendee” or “attendees”) agree to these Terms and Conditions (collectively, the “Terms and Conditions” or “Agreement”).

1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.
You acknowledge and agree that all content and information on the Site is protected by proprietary rights and laws. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance, graphics and content. You agree not to modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, transfer, create derivate work from, sell or re-sell any content or information obtained from or through the Site; unless written permission is given by the owner or stated in conjunction with content.

2. THIRD-PARTY SITES.
The Site may contain links to other websites maintained by third parties. These links are provided solely as a convenience and does not imply endorsement of, or association with, the party by Essex Ghost Hunters. Essex Ghost Hunters have no responsibility for the content of the linked websites.

3. MODIFICATIONS TO THIS AGREEMENT.
Essex Ghost Hunters reserves the right to change or modify any of the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement at any time. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review the Site and these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Your continued use of the Site after such modifications to this Agreement will constitute acknowledgment of the modified Terms and Conditions and agreement to abide and be bound by the modified Terms and Conditions.

4. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
You expressly agree that use of the Site is at your sole risk and discretion. The Site and all content and other information contained on the Site is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. Essex Ghost Hunters makes no warranty that (I) the Site and content or information will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, (II) the results that may be obtained from use of this Site will be effective, accurate or reliable. The Site may include technical mistakes, inaccuracies or typographical errors. Essex Ghost Hunters reserves the right to change the Site content and information at any time without notice.

5. GOVERNING LAW.
Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website is subject to the laws of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

6. SECURITY & TAMPERING.
Essex Ghost Hunters is provided by a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) (HTTPS) for peace of mind whilst browsing and purchasing tickets. Card payments are not processed via our server, all payments are transitioned via Stripe.

Tampering with this website is not tolerated, we accept no loss or damage occurred due to tampering or manipulating with this site. Any false transactions will not be refunded or granted.

Event Terms and Conditions

By purchasing event tickets with us you and your party agree to the following event Terms and Conditions.

1. MINIMUM AGE.
You acknowledge and agree that the attendees MUST be 18 or over. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to any person who does not appear to be 18 or over without sufficient ID.

2. ALCOHOL & DRUGS.
You acknowledge and agree that the use of alcohol or illegal drugs is strictly forbidden at all events. Any person believed to be under the influence or in possession of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave immediately. Anybody who is evicted from an event for the reasons above will not be eligible for a refund of ticket prices and any costs incurred, such as accommodation, travel or any other costs incurred relating to the eviction. Essex Ghost Hunters will have the ultimate decision to evict anyone from the event under these circumstances.

3. SMOKING.
Smoking is strictly forbidden inside any business premises under UK law. Smoking is forbidden within any indoor events.

4. PERSONAL BELONGINGS & EQUIPMENT.
You acknowledge and agree that any personal belongings and equipment that you bring to the event is your own responsibility. Essex Ghost Hunters are not responsible for the loss of attendee’s property, damage of theft. Essex Ghost Hunters are not responsible to provide a “safe” place to store attendee’s property.

5. PREGNANT WOMEN.
Due to the nature of these events and the restrictions at some venues heavily pregnant women are not allowed to attend any of our events.

6. ACCESS & DISABILITIES.
You acknowledge and agree that any long-term medical issues must be declared prior to booking. All attendees must be in good health; persons of an excessive nervous nature or, heart condition are advised not to attend.

Some venues have steps or uneven floors and may not be easily accessible for people with disabilities. If unsure when booking please contact us.

7. ACCIDENTS & INCIDENTS.
Although we cannot foresee any problems, accidents/incidents do happen, and all attendees should have their own party liability insurance in the unlikely event of an accident.

You acknowledge and agree that you further indemnify Essex Ghost Hunters from and against all legal liability in respect of any costs, claims, damages, demands, penalties, actions, proceedings, suits, losses or expenses in respect of or arising out of the injury to or death of any person, or damage to any property arising from the participation of activities.

8. BEHAVIOUR.
You acknowledge and agree that any behaviour causing health and safety hazards or disruption to other attendees’ experience is not tolerated, attendees will be evicted from the venue immediately. Attendees must act in a sensible manner and not cause harm or injury to anyone else and or affect the property. Essex Ghost Hunter’s has the ultimate decision.

During the event attendees will have the chance to use our equipment. We ask that you do so with extreme care, as misuse/abuse of such will render you liable for any loss or damage incurred.

9. HEALTH & SAFETY.
You acknowledge and agree that some locations have uneven floors or stairs; therefore attendees must take care whilst walking throughout the venue.  Most venues will be in a dark environment; it is advised that every attendee brings a high-powered torch.

Due to the nature of the venue locations and the weather conditions, attendees are advised to wear sensible warm and dry clothing. Attendees should wear suitable footwear as long walks may be involved. Essex Ghost Hunters accept no responsibility for any injury sustained due to inappropriate clothing and footwear.

No naked flames or other potential fire hazards are to be used during the event.

Please remember to take care whilst travelling home after the event. We recommend attendees stay overnight in a local hotel after the event. Essex Ghost Hunters accept no responsibility for any accidents or incidents caused after the event.

10. MEDIA.
You acknowledge and agree that the use of cameras, filming and recording equipment is permitted on our events subject to limitations. Any footage recorded is deemed to be for personal use only and not for commercial purposes. Before commencing video or audio capture you must advise anybody being recorded so that they are aware and have the choice to not be included. Large & professional audio/visual equipment may be used on events only when prior permission by Essex Ghost Hunters has been granted.

11. CANCELLATIONS.
You acknowledge and agree that events may be cancelled or postponed due to weather conditions or situations out of our control. When this occurs, Essex Ghost Hunters will notify attendees by email (or telephone if provided). Attendees may be offered places on the next available event or a complete refund will be made. Essex Ghost Hunters are not liable for any expenses you may incur such as accommodation bookings, travel arrangements or any other costs incurred relating to the cancelled event.

12. REFUNDS.
You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility at the time of booking to ensure that you and your party are able to make the event date as Essex Ghost Hunters cannot offer a refund or transfer your places if you are unable to attend. This is due to our venues being paid in advance and we are therefore liable for these costs even if you cannot attend. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

13. ALTERATIONS.
Essex Ghost Hunters reserves the right to alter the event activities at anytime without prior notice. Activity alterations may be due to weather conditions or situations out of our control. Essex Ghost Hunters also reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at anytime without prior notice.

14. EMAILS.
Upon successful payment a payment/booking confirmation email sent to the user's email address. Essex Ghost Hunters will send an "Information Email" prior to the event detailing meeting times and location.

15. PARANORMAL ACTIVITY.
Essex Ghost Hunters does not create or fake paranormal activity.  Essex Ghost Hunters have on occasions witnessed and recorded paranormal activity in various locations though we cannot guarantee that paranormal activity will take place on the event.

Stories and accounts of venues and locations are not fabricated. Though we always endeavour to give you the best experience possible we can never guarantee the behaviour of the unknown thus we cannot make any guarantees about the validity and truth behind your experiences. We do guarantee that all events are organised with a scientific outlook and are conducted under controlled conditions.

Our consultants are professionals; however, any and all statements made quoting our consultants are the sole opinion of the individual consultant and do not reflect the opinions or policies, stated or otherwise, of Essex Ghost Hunters. No perceived predictions, opinions, information, advice or comments made by our employees, psychics, mediums or clairvoyants should be interpreted as factual or actual. You, the attendee, are responsible for making your own decisions and it is understood that when our employees, psychics, mediums and clairvoyants suggest something to you, it is an opinion of the consultant, and should not be interpreted as the only course of action.
