Spirit Board Session

Team Leaders were SI, Lisa, Kim, Jay, Steve

This was a group session, 72 minutes, exploring the rooms Caan, Devere, Fryatt and the church

spirit activity. There were only 4 guests for this session. Activities were the spirit board and a

table for table tipping.

Lisa started by opening the board and encouraging spirit to come forward. She invited the spirit

to look around the board. Everyone felt children, lots of them, then the glass started to move

weakly at first. Simon connected and said the name was Maggie, the glass went immediately to

yes to confirm.

Maggie/Nicholas

The spirit on the board spelt out UVXZ .At first a child called Maggie (confirmed by Si) came

forward on the board. We asked her age, she said 2 and then 6. She may have been six but

she may have been confirming 26 children with us. It was suggested Maggie was from

Czechoslovakia or Poland, Maggie was asked if she was a governor or teacher, the spirit

seemed conflicted, we asked if they were orphans, Si said they had been brought from

somewhere. Slavery was suggested and the glass went to No immediately. Si said she was

speaking for someone else because that spirit was too shy or too ashamed. We asked if they

came by boat, that was rejected. Someone asked if it was by train and that was a definite yes.

Si came up with the name Nicholas Winton, the spirit was enthusiastic in Yes glass movement.

We asked Maggie if she was talking for Nicholas Winton and she said yes, very fast. War was

mentioned and a definite yes from spirit. The Boer War and Crimean war was mentioned with a

no response. World war 2 had a big yes response. Resolved to look up Nicholas Winton

afterwards to see if it was a real person ***

The spirit asked if she was Jewish, said yes immediately on the board. She said he was 106

when he died, Maggie said she was not related to him. Then the energy shifted and the glass

lacked energy. We asked the spirit of Nicholas to come forward, the energy was much stronger

this time. Nicholas said he brought 57 people on each train. Si said he is new, he has not long

passed over

The group thanked Nicholas for all he had done and the people he had saved. Si felt his guilt

about not getting the last train out, he could not save them. When asked how many he had

saved he said by the spirit board 773 and 676. We asked how many descendants these

children had and the number on the board was 4736. The board then spelled out ZTWX. The

group wondered if he was trying to say Essex. The group asked when he was born and he

spelt out 1909. We asked when he died and 2017 was spelt out. Si confirmed we were not

talking to Nicholas as he was too shy.

The attention turned to Maggie again, she confirmed she was saved from the concentration

camp. One of the guests asked if she was held in a camp in Poland, which gave a yes answer.

She was asked if anyone around the board had been to the camp she was at and the glass

moved in front of Lisa, who became very upset, as she had visited Auswitz Birkenau a few

years ago and it brought the emotion back. Maggie confirmed she died when she was 48, she

confirmed she had 3 children and 9 grandchildren.

The group then asked Maggie if she could do a triangle with the glass and then a square, which

she did and then they asked for a star, she seemed to trace out the star of David.

The group asked Maggie to pass on to Nicholas our thanks for all he did. One of the team said

he should have been sainted, Si said he was knighted.

Rose

There was a definite energy change, a spirit came on and Lisa felt a connection to someone

around the board, and asked the spirit to move to the person they wanted to talk to, the glass

moved to the guest Tony. We then asked the spirit to spell out their name and they spelled out

Rose, Tony confirmed she knew Rose, it was a relative.

Kim saw a person walk past the window and checked immediately, there was no one it could

have been, it must have been spirit.

Rose then spelt out UZX (like Maggie) the guests then confirmed that it was their relative, but

there was some unease this could be a mimic, some answers were correct and some were

wrong.

Table Tipping

The group decided to try table tipping led by Jay. There was definite spirit activity, ie the energy

in the fingertips and the vibrations but the table did not move very much, it was like something

was blocking it. As usual the spirit on the table was encouraged to attack Jay to no avail.

A guest felt something behind them whilst trying table tipping and some team members could

see it, Repeated attempts to tip/move tables (table tipping) across rooms; partial/very slight

movement observed

Chapel

? Organ/pipes sounds and a bell were requested/tried; participants reported organ vibrations

and noises, there was a misty figure at the side of the organ

? Si became very giggly, as if he was drunk in this room. He said he was drunk and the ship

went down and he drowned but the spirit still thought it was funny.

? Participants reported cold sensations, numb fingers, breathing/arm-like contact, and light

touches (featherlike)

? Smells and visual impressions: dusty/urine-like smell, sighting of a white/grey mist and a

figure in uniform, perhaps called Malcolm

? Guest Sadie had an interaction with a spirit touching her arm, Si felt she was French and

asked if anyone could talk French, but we could not.

? Session ended as it was break time.
