Join us at the Galleries of Justice Nottingham. This is a new location for Essex Ghost Hunters, and we cannot wait to investigate.
As always to give you the very best ghost hunting experience EGH will be working in teams of a maximum of 8 people with at least 2 Team leaders.
This historic building is famous for its murky and grim past as it has been home to the local court since 1375 and a prison with the first written records dating back to 1449.
So many people have passed through its doors, and some stayed for longer than originally anticipated. Do some these people remain in spirit?
Over the years both the court and the prison have been enlarged. The Hall was rebuilt in 1772.
Public executions were also held in front of its central doorway for several decades which was a popular form of entertainment back in Victorian Britain. The last public execution in front of the Museum took place in 1864 with Richard Parker whose life was taken for committing murder.
The building was used as a police station from 1905 to 1985 and the court closed in 1986.
Knowing the dark history, it is not surprising that the Museum is a hotspot for paranormal activity and one of the most haunted buildings in England.
There are reports of voices, shadow figures and poltergeist activity. People often report feeling drowsy, hearing voices, and feeling that they are being watched.
Your ghost hunt will include:
Tour of the venue
Vigils throughout the location working in small groups.
Spirit board experiments
Use of ghost hunting equipment including Dowsing Rods & EMF Meters
Refreshments throughout
Are you brave enough to join us at this fantastic venue?
